Smartphone Setup for Students

Most smartphones, including Android, BlackBerry and iPhones can be configured with Trinity’s Google Apps and Gmail. Select your mobile device below for instructions.

Android Devices

  1. Log into Gmail at least one time. If you don’t login once, Gmail will not work on your smartphone!
  2. On your mobile device, open the Gmail app.
  3. Click Add account.
  4. In the username field, type in your complete student email address. ie – doej@students.trinitydc.edu.
  5. Input your password.
  6. Click Next to finish configuration.

iPhone & iOS Devices

  1. Log into Gmail at least one time. If you don’t login once, Gmail will not work on your smartphone!
  2. On your mobile device, navigate to the Settings app.
  3. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  4. Tap Add Account.
  5. Tap Google (Gmail).
  6. Type in your name, Trinity student email address and password. For example, if your name is Jane Doe, your student email address will be doej@students.trinitydc.edu.
  7. Tap Next to finish.

Windows Phone

  1. Log into Gmail at least one time. If you don’t login once, Gmail will not work on your smartphone!
  2. Follow remaining instructions listed on Google Sync with your Windows Phone.

BlackBerry

  1. Log into Gmail at least one time. If you don’t login once, Gmail will not work on your smartphone!
  2. Download and install the BlackBerry Gmail app on your phone, and follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete set up.
