Smartphone Setup for Students

These instructions are for students only. Click here for staff and faculty instructions.

Most smartphones, including Android and iPhone, can be configured with Trinity’s Google Apps and Gmail. Select your mobile device below for instructions.

Android Devices

  1. Log into Gmail at least one time. If you don’t login once, Gmail will not work on your smartphone!
  2. On your mobile device, open the Gmail app.
  3. Click Add account.
  4. In the username field, type in your complete student email address. ie – DoeJ@students.trinitydc.edu.
  5. Input your password.
  6. Click Next to finish configuration.

iPhone & iOS Devices

  1. Log into Gmail at least one time. If you don’t login once, Gmail will not work on your smartphone!
  2. On your mobile device, navigate to the Settings app.
  3. Tap Apps, then Mail, and then Mail Accounts.
  4. Tap Add Account.
  5. Tap Google (Gmail).
  6. Type in your name, Trinity student email address, and password. For example, if your name is Jane Doe, your student email address will be DoeJ@students.trinitydc.edu.
  7. Tap Next to finish.
