Returning Resident Housing Selection Process
In order to enter the Housing Lottery process, residents will need to complete the Housing Intent Form which will be sent out on Monday, March 23rd and is due on Monday, March 30th. Students who do not submit the Intent Form before the deadline will forfeit their guarantee of priority placement for the 2026-2027 school year.
Residents will receive a lottery number AFTER the requirements listed below are completed:
- Register as a Full-Time Student for Fall 2026
- Obtain Conditional Approval from Enrollment Services
- Complete Returning Resident Housing Intent Form
Please be advised that room placements are contingent upon residents acquiring FINAL Clearance from Enrollment Services no later than Wednesday, July 1st. Failure to secure final clearance by the specified deadline will result in forfeiture of the initially selected room.
Housing Selection Timeline 2026
Monday, March 16th: Fall 2026 Course Registration Begins
Monday, March 23rd: Housing Intent Form and Proxy Representative Form Opens
Thursday, March 26th: First Info Session
Monday, March 30th: Second Info Session
Monday, March 30th: Housing Intent Form and Proxy Representative Form Deadline
April 1st – April 11th: Students receive their lottery numbers
Monday, April 13th: Housing Selection Day
Friday, April 24th: Housing Placement Letters Sent to Residents
Wednesday, July 1st: Obtain Final Clearance from Enrollment Services
Monday, August 3rd: Move-in Info Sent to Residents
Saturday, August 22nd: Move-in Day for Returning Residents.
What to Expect the day of Housing Selection:
- Residents will arrive at their assigned time slot and with their Lottery number.
- Resident Coordinators will check in Residents by their lottery number and student ID. Residents can continue with housing selection only if they have completed the following:
- Register as a full-time student
- Obtain Conditional Approval from Enrollment Services
- Complete Returning Resident Housing Intent Form
If the above requirements are not completed before housing selection, residents will not be able to choose their rooms the day of housing selection.
- Residents will have up to 5 minutes to browse floor plans and select their room.
- Rising Senior Residents will have the option to browse floor plans for Kerby Hall A/B Wing, Kerby C-Wing, and Main Hall.
- Rising Junior Residents will have the option to browse floor plans for Kerby Hall A/B Wing.
- Rising Sophomore and Returning First-Year Residents will have the option to browse floor plans for Kerby Hall A/B Wing.
- Non-Traditional students will have the option to browse floor plans for Main Hall.
- Graduate students will have the option to browse floor plans for Kerby C-Wing and Main Hall.
- That is all! After residents make their housing selection, they will receive their housing placement letter by email the following week on Friday, April 25th.
Notice:
Cuvilly Hall is reserved for incoming first-year and transfer students. Current first-year, transfer, and upperclassmen Cuvilly Hall residents are required to choose a different Residence Hall for the next academic year.
Disability Support Services:
Residents who need to request specific housing accommodations due to a medical-related condition will need to register with Disability Support Services each academic year. Once affiliated, Disability Support Services will inform the Office of Campus Housing of all residents who require specific housing accommodations based on medical documentation provided to their office.
