Welcome to the Trinity Community!

Health Center Welcome

All students registered at Trinity Washington University are encouraged to access the services of The Health and Wellness Center, which is located on the 4th Floor of the Main Hall. We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 4:30 pm by appointment.  Our clinic is staffed with two Nurse Practitioners, a Certified Medical Assistant, two Counselors, and an Administrative Assistant.  We provide our students with comprehensive medical and counseling services to serve our mission of keeping you as healthy as possible during your academic pursuits at Trinity. We are excited to meet you and hope you will utilize our Health Center for ALL your medical and mental health needs.

Medical or Counseling appointments can be made by calling (202) 884-9615 or emailing healthcenter@trinitydc.edu

MEDICAL SERVICES

All of our Primary Care Providers are experienced clinicians focused on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our students to receive medical care. They are skilled at diagnosing and treating acute illness/injury, performing physicals/well-woman exams, and managing chronic illnesses. We are able to write prescriptions or dispense medications from our pharmacy as needed. We also perform comprehensive laboratory testing services right in our clinic for your convenience.

COUNSELING SERVICES

We know that college can be stressful and many of our students find that talking to a counselor can help them cope with the demands of academic life. Our counselors have experience supporting students as they navigate relationship troubles, cope with stress, and manage anger. They are also skilled in the treatment of depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Counselors hold individual counseling sessions as well as group support classes and campus-wide health awareness programs.

Health Forms

In order to provide you with the best care possible, we first need to learn about your current health and past medical history. The university requires the following forms to be returned to the Health Center BEFORE AUGUST 12, 2022 (Fall) or JANUARY 20, 2023 (SPRING).

You can use the Trinity Student Health Portal to manage your own health care through a secure system quickly and easily. You can use this site to submit health forms, submit COVID-19 vaccination cards, schedule appointments, and to communicate with your health care provider here at Trinity Washington University. The student portal can be accessed at TrinityDC.studenthealthportal.com. Use your Trinity username and password to login to the secure site.  These documents will automatically update into your electronic health record with the Health and Wellness Center.

Health Insurance

All students are mandated by the District of Columbia to have comprehensive health insurance while enrolled in school. We are pleased to offer a university sponsored health insurance plan through Cigna. All full-time CAS students are automatically enrolled in the Trinity Student Insurance Plan and are billed for this coverage each semester. If you have other health insurance coverage, you may waive the student insurance plan and avoid being billed by completing the waiver form located on our website.  Students in all other programs may enroll in the insurance plan.  For more information about student insurance, health fees, and waivers please visit OUR INSURANCE PAGE.

Be well!

We look forward to meeting you; please reach out if we can be of any further assistance!
