Course Evaluations – Why?!
Everyone has had that thought. You know the one–that niggling, “But what does it matter if I complete this evaluation? Nothing will change!”
However, assessment of our offerings is critical and really does have an impact…if we all complete them.
So tell us what you think!
- If you thought the course was too basic, tell us know where the pace dragged.
- If you through the course was too hard, give us examples of what was overreaching.
- If you thought the course was perfect, enumerate the many ways it succeeded.
- If you think the evaluation is terrible, let us know that, too!
As President Barack Obama in March 10, 2009:
“I’m calling on our nation’s governors and state education chiefs to develop standards and assessments that don’t simply measure whether students can fill in a bubble on a test, but whether they possess 21st century skills like problem-solving and critical thinking and entrepreneurship and creativity.”
So talk to us!
Faculty members remember: you will not be able to see this semester’s evaluations until after the final grades for the latest class have been submitted, reviewed, and approved.
