Adjunct Faculty Checklist

Part-time faculty are required to complete the below documentation and tasks prior to the start of the academic semester. Questions can be directed to the Office of Human Resources at humanresources@trinitydc.edu or Academic Affairs at academicaffairs@trinitydc.edu .

 Human Resources

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9)
    • You must present identification (unexpired) that verifies your ability to work in the U.S.:
      •   government issued photo ID and social security card
      •   government issued photo ID and birth certificate
      •   passport
  • Official Transcripts in sealed envelopes (originals, not copies) from all degree-granting colleges/universities you have attended
  • Employee Information Sheet
  • Direct Deposit Authorization Form
  • Federal Tax Form (W4)
  • State Tax Form for your residence (DC: D-4; MD: MW-507; VA: VA4)
  • Harassment Policy and Acknowledgement Form, Background Check Authorization Form, and the Drug-Free Workplace Statement

Academic Affairs

  •  Adjunct Contract
    • Contracts are emailed prior to the first day of class and should be signed and returned to   Academic Affairs. Compensation is contingent upon the return of the contract and required employment documentation from Human Resources.
  • Attend Orientation (mandatory)
  • Set-up Moodle Course 
    •   Make course visible to students
    •   Upload Syllabus
    •   Report Enrollment Verification (see Academic Calendar for deadlines)

Public Safety

  • Vehicle and Parking Registration
  •  ID-Badge
    • Trinity employees are required to wear an ID Badge. To obtain an ID, take your signed contract to the Department of Public Safety (DPS). ID Badges are also available at the adjunct orientation.
