Dr. Cynthia Greer Serves as Invited Judge for 9th Annual D.C. Public Health Case Challenge

Dr. Cynthia Greer, Associate Professor of Counseling at Trinity Washington University, represented the Research Team’s Initiative on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Trauma as a judge for the National Academy of the Sciences at the 9th annual D.C. Public Health Case Challenge. Teams from the D.C. area universities were challenged to develop a solution to this year’s topic, “Protective Community Environments and their Contribution to Intimate Partner Violence Prevention”.

Dr. Greer served as an expert judge to evaluate each team’s response to the challenge question. She also gave a presentation on ACEs and Healing.  The D.C. Public Health Case Challenge is co-sponsored by the National Academy of Medicine’s Kellogg Health of the Public Fund and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Roundtable on Population Health Improvement, with support from the Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education.
