Child Reviews Proposals for AACU’s 2014 TIDES Program

Dr. Elizabeth Child, Associate Professor of English and Program Chair, was selected as a panelist to review proposals for the Association of American College and Universities’ 2014 TIDES Program: Teaching to Increase Diversity and Equity in STEM.  According to AAC&U’s website, “The overall goal of this three-year initiative is to increase the learning outcomes and retention of students historically underrepresented in the computer/information sciences and related STEM disciplines.” Dr. Child served as lead reviewer on two proposals and was a contributing reviewer for five other applications. Successful proposals are funded over three years, up to $300,000.
