Bolden presented at 4th National Conference on African/Black Psychology

Dr. Mark Bolden, Assistant Professor of Counseling, presented at the Fourth National Conference on African/Black Psychology, which took place at Florida A&M University on November 8th and 9th.  The conference this year focused on the work of Dr. Bobby E. Wright, who was, according to conference organizers, “an internationally renowned scholar, educator, community activist, humanitarian and an early leader in the African/Black Psychology Movement.”  Dr. Bolden both presented a paper on the topic of “The Wright Fight: Fight Club as a Vehicle for African Liberation & Education” and responded to a paper titled, “An Anthropological Sketch: Out of the Whiteness of Eurocentric Madness and into the Blackness of Afrikan Salvation, A Call for Melination,” which an anthropology student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County presented.
