📢 Semester Preparation: Course Setup Essentials

As you prepare your courses for the upcoming semester, please take a moment to ensure the following essential items are completed in your Moodle course site:

  • Course Syllabus: Upload a detailed syllabus that outlines expectations, schedules, and grading policies. This is critical for setting the tone and structure of your course.

  • Gradebook Setup: Configure your gradebook to reflect the grading structure presented in your syllabus. Refer to the Moodle Grade Guide for step-by-step instructions.

  • Attendance Tracking: Maintain accurate attendance records for each class meeting. Need help? Review How do I track class attendance?

  • Make Your Course Available: Courses are hidden by default. Be sure to make your course visible to students. Tip: Use Student View to verify what students can access. For guidance, visit Make Your Course Available.
