Students may demonstrate their language proficiency by passing an institutional Spanish or French exam developed by our faculty. Students who PASS will have their foreign language competency fulfilled. Although students who satisfy the criteria by taking this exam will NOT earn course credit, they will be exempt from taking the foreign language class.
Review the Options for Satisfying Foreign Language Proficiency for additional information about fulfilling your language requirement. To schedule an appointment for a language assessment or to discuss options to satisfy the language requirement for languages other than Spanish or French, contact Dr. Kimberly LaBoone. Guidelines to take an assessment for other languages are here.
Proctoring Exams for Non-Trinity Students
Testing Services will administer and proctor distance learning and online course exams as a courtesy for other educational institutions as the schedule permits. Exams will be administered based on instructions and specifications from the home institution and will only be administered when students have scheduled appointments. For complete details and to request an appointment, visit Proctoring for non-Trinity students.
Proctoring is available to Trinity students for makeup exams. Students who miss an in-class exam may arrange with Testing Services to take a make-up exam. In order to arrange an exam, the student must:
- obtain permission from the professor
- schedule an appointment by completing the Student Exam Appointment Request
Special Accommodation Exams
Proctoring is available to Trinity students for exams with special accommodations. Students with documented disabilities may be entitled to take an exam with accommodations administered by the Director of Disability Student Services by completing the Student Exam Appointment Request Form.
Additional information about accommodations may be found by reading the Accommodations Guide the Student Special Accommodations Guide for accommodations, or the Faculty Special Accommodations Guide for accommodations.
