Senior Admissions Counselor, BUSINESS AND GRADUATE STUDIES

Trinity Washington University seeks a dynamic Business and Graduate Studies Senior Admissions Counselor to join our admissions team and help us attract top talent to our graduate and business programs.

Under the supervision of the Director of Professional and Graduate Studies, the  Senior Business and Graduate Studies Admissions  Counselor is responsible for identifying, engaging, and enrolling high-caliber students into three (3) graduate business programs: Business Administration, M.B.A.; Leadership and Organization Management, M.S.A. and; Strategic Communication & Public Relations, M.A. This position requires an energetic and self-directed professional who can engage with business and industry partners (private, public, corporate, and educational) to recruit new graduate students and meet enrollment targets. It will involve promoting our graduate programs at offsite events such as education fairs, conferences, and corporate site visits. He/She will be responsible for conducting individual follow-up appointments and group information sessions as well as organizing graduate recruiting events on campus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and strengthen networks with local corporations, organizations, Trinity alumnae/i, and partner colleges
  • Engage and recruit corporate members within the Washington Business Journal, Government entities, and associations such as the DC Chamber of Commerce
  • Survey local corporate decision-makers to determine graduate educational needs and talent-sourcing needs
  • Attend events both in-person and virtually to attract new graduate students
  • Contribute to Trinity’s social media activities to promote graduate programs and engage prospective students
  • Promptly respond to inquiries and follow up on leads
  • Evaluate graduate applications and transcripts to determine eligibility for admission
  • Advise prospective students on program offerings and requirements, admission standards, and application procedures
  • Collaborate with admissions and university offices to nurture relationships
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market demand, and competitors’ offerings
  • Prepare weekly admission reports
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • At least 2 years of successful professional sales-related experience is required, Graduate Admissions recruitment experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of higher education policies and regulations
  • Results-oriented with a focus on meeting enrollment targets
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis is a plus
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Bilingual proficiency is highly desired (Spanish)
  • This position requires driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license. Trinity reimburses mileage and travel expenses.
