Position Announcement- Summer 2023 Adjunct faculty for Psychology
Trinity Washington University is seeking a dynamic educator to teach the following section of
the 3-credit class – PSYC 101: Introductory Psychology, for the 6-week (June 26 – August 4)
Dual Enrollment Program students in the College of Arts & Sciences for summer 2023.
PSYC 101/DEP1: MTWTHF 1:00 – 2:30 PM
These are in-person classes on Trinity’s campus. Classes start on June 26 and end on August 4,
and meet every day of the week for 6 weeks.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master’s degree from
an accredited institution and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. Previous
undergraduate classroom experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with
experience teaching dual enrollment students, and who demonstrate excellence with engaged and
active learning practices.
Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other
evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will
be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching
practices is required. Finalists will be invited for an interview and teaching demonstration. L
