Adjunct Faculty - Chemistry for Health Sciences

Trinity Washington University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach CHEM 113: Chemistry for the Health Sciences in Spring 2023.

CHEM 113 is a one-semester course that gives students in pre-nursing and pre-health programs a solid foundation in general, organic and biochemistry.

Classes start on January 23, 2023. The virtual class and lab, via Zoom, will meet Tuesday 6:30-9:00 PM and Thursday 6:30-9:30 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in chemistry or a related discipline and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills.

Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration. Preference is given to candidates who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices.
