 Early College Academy Study Hall Monitor

Job Description:

Study Hall Monitors will assist Academy scholars, supervise activities and ensure the proper study hall environment.

 Qualifications:

  1. Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills;
  2. Ability to manage program scholars activities and interactions;
  3. Positive attitude toward helping others and enthusiasm for Trinity
  4. Current Trinity student with at least sophomore standing (completed 28 semester hours) – preferred

 Duties:

  1. Oversee study hall activities and ensure an environment conducive to study/tutoring/learning;
  2. Guide participants in using successful strategies for college-level work;
  3. Refer ECA scholars to tutoring for academic support as needed;
  4. Maintain a log of activities and reports on participants’ attendance and activities;
  5. Report activity and attendance information to program director;
  6. Deliver regular feedback and communicate concerns to instructors/faculty and other tutors;
  7. Attend Academic Support staff meetings;
  8. Track and record work hours; Log in/out using TimeForce or time card;
  9. Communicate with Director in a timely fashion any concerns/issues.

 Additional information:

  1. Work/study funding is helpful but not required.
  2. Student employees may work in one on-campus position at a time.
  3. Monitors must be able to work during Study Hall hours.
