Early College Academy Study Hall Monitor
Job Description:
Study Hall Monitors will assist Academy scholars, supervise activities and ensure the proper study hall environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage program scholars activities and interactions;
- Positive attitude toward helping others and enthusiasm for Trinity
- Current Trinity student with at least sophomore standing (completed 28 semester hours) – preferred
Duties:
- Oversee study hall activities and ensure an environment conducive to study/tutoring/learning;
- Guide participants in using successful strategies for college-level work;
- Refer ECA scholars to tutoring for academic support as needed;
- Maintain a log of activities and reports on participants’ attendance and activities;
- Report activity and attendance information to program director;
- Deliver regular feedback and communicate concerns to instructors/faculty and other tutors;
- Attend Academic Support staff meetings;
- Track and record work hours; Log in/out using TimeForce or time card;
- Communicate with Director in a timely fashion any concerns/issues.
Additional information:
- Work/study funding is helpful but not required.
- Student employees may work in one on-campus position at a time.
- Monitors must be able to work during Study Hall hours.
