Master of Occupational Therapy Assistant Professor
Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in the nations’ capitol, seeks a full-time faculty member for its Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program within the School of Nursing and Health Professions (NHP). The faculty appointment begins with the 2021-2022 academic year. The successful candidate will teach, serve as a faculty advisor, mentor students, produce scholarly works/activities, and participate in community service at Trinity and the larger Washington, D.C. community.
Preferred Years of Experience, Skills, Training, and Education:
- Experience with distance technology and learning management platforms.
- Board or specialty certification
- Experience teaching in face-to-face and online formats
- Record of involvement with professional associations.
- Evidence of scholarly contributions to the profession (i.e. presentations and/or publications at local, state, or national levels).
- Openness to new technology.
- Commitment to diversity, social justice, innovation, and collaboration
Education: Required to have a doctoral degree (e.g., OTD, DHSc, DSc, PhD, EdD) from a regionally accredited college or university and at least a masters in the field of Occupational Therapy. Candidates must be eligible for Washington, D.C. licensure as a practicing occupational therapist. Candidates should possess experience in adult physical dysfunction, neuroscience, kinesiology, occupational therapy education, and/or research. Trinity seeks individuals with a minimum of three years clinical experience, at least one-year supervising students, and who demonstrate a record of scholarship at state, national, or international level.
