Hon. Jane A. Grall, J.S.C. June 7, 1949 – August 20, 2021 Jane Alberta Grall (72) of Avon by the Sea entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 20, 2021. Jane was born in Elizabeth, NJ, on June 7, 1949. Her parents, Patrick Joseph Grall and Mary (Preen) Grall, predeceased her. She was the loving wife of 25 years to the Honorable Edward M. Neafsey. Jane’s brothers Thomas A. Grall, Sr. and Gene Grall and sister-in-law Linda Grall predeceased her. She is survived by her sisters Patricia Hamilton of Spring Lake, NJ, Mary Grace Killmer and husband John of Spring Lake, NJ, and Dr. Anne Grall Reichel and husband Jack of Lincolnshire, Illinois. Jane is also survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Grall of San Diego, California, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Jane was kind and caring to everyone in her life. She cared for her in-laws, Edward M. (Bud) Neafsey, Jr. and Agnes (Murphy) Neafsey, who lived with her and Ed for the last 20 years of their lives. This was a continuation of the compassionate care she gave to her own parents Patrick and Mary Grall. Jane was a proud graduate of Trinity College in Washington, D.C. She taught social studies in the Cranford public school system before attending Rutgers Law School – Camden. Devoted to public service, she spent many years working in the NJ Department of Law and Public Safety. There she represented the Attorney General’s Office before the NJ Legislature, argued many cases before the NJ Supreme Court, and held other high-level positions.
