1999 Class Notes for 2014

Dear Classmates!

Thank you for your news.

Kate Casey gave birth to Hayes Isabel Rodrigues on July 14, 2013. Hayes joins sister Mia (4) and brother Jack (20 mos.). Mia and Hayes have the same birthday. Kate lives in Newport Beach, CA, and provides media relations to law firm clients and does PR for her husband’s software company, Kareo, Inc., (recently named by Forbes as one of America’s 100 Most Promising Companies). In her spare time she writes a comedy blog (www.loveandknuckles.com) covering celebrities and pop culture. Kate loves to keep in touch with “so many Trinitrons” through Facebook and Twitter.

Gabrielle Hayes Moseley is deputy consul general for U.S. Consulate Belfast, Northern Ireland, having finished a one-year posting to U.S. Embassy Baghdad, Iraq, in July 2012. Since she arrived in Belfast last August, she’s had the pleasure of managing visits from former Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Melanne Verveer; two special representatives for global partnerships; former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; and President Obama en route to the G-8 Summit in Lough Erne this past June. Gabbi has found Belfast to be a great small city for her three-year assignment. She and English husband, Mark Moseley, are especially enjoying living in a big Victorian house with garden, as they’ve acquired a now-huge Labradoodle puppy and two kittens.

Tyra Mobley lives in DC with daughter Jordan. Tyra is enrolled at Westwood College to become a certified medical sssistant. She expects to finish her certification in October 2013.

Gale Saunders from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) wrote to say ‘hi’ with nothing new to report but, hoped to have “some rocking news by next year!”

I (Clair) celebrated the New Year by finishing my first marathon in January, and if all goes as planned I’ll cross the finish line of my first 100-mile bike ride with Team in Training in September. I started a new job this summer, and I’m hoping to do some traveling at Christmas. After a few really rough years, I’m thankful things have been much more settled this year.

I (Gerry) send greetings to our entire class. Both Clair and I want to remind you all of our 15th Reunion next May 30 – June 1, 2014. Please contact us if you want to be part of the planning committee or want to share any ideas to celebrate this milestone.

Please take care and we look forward to seeing as many of you at Reunion!
