SGC Road to Success

CAS Student Government Road to Success, 12:00pm – 3:00pm, Payden Academic Center 101.
The SGC will be presenting a series of workshops focused on professional, leadership and career development. Students will have the chance to hear from experts about how to build their online presence as a student, how to enhance their public speaking skills through networking tips, and finally how to apply for graduate school/the importance of a recommendation letter.
Javier Lopez: Co-Founder of The Gov Geeks LLC, a government focused coaching practice committed to help public servants get in and get ahead in their careers. (12 pm-1 pm)
Dr. LaBoone: Director of Academic Services at Trinity Washington University. Her workshop will focus on asking for recommendation letters/writing a good personal statement (1 pm-2 pm)
Crystal Bailey: director of the Etiquette Institute of Washington. An experienced consultant and public speaker, she is dedicated to aiding business and young professionals polish their executive presence, networking and fine dining etiquette savvy. (2 pm-3 pm)
