Speaker Taylor Smith will discuss clean, equitable energy and its global impact.
Taylor Smith is a Team Coordinator on the Rockefeller Foundation’s Power & Climate team based in New York City. She supports The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, which aims to accelerate and scale equitable energy transitions in low-income countries, serving as an onramp to opportunity for 1 billion people, while averting carbon emissions, expanding energy access, and creating jobs.
Taylor has a decade of experience supporting non-profits at the intersection of international development and philanthropy, dedicating her career to workforces that are committed to bettering outcomes for people and the planet.
She has previously carried roles at NEXUS Global, Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and the United Nations. Across these institutions she has supported next-generation philanthropists, impact investors, and social entrepreneurs to bring about promising solutions for our generation; managed a team of economists to determine development financing needs for developing countries; and been at the center of global promotion for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, a shared universal blueprint for peace and prosperity.
Taylor holds an MA in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School and a BA in International Affairs from Trinity Washington University. She is currently based in Stamford, CT.
