Student Resources
Trinity is committed to providing all students with a wide array of services and support to help them succeed academically and to become leaders in their professional, civic, and family lives. Trinity students take advantage of the many resources provided by the University.
Academic Services
The Office of Academic Services provides co-curricular programs in alignment with Trinity’s academic mission, commitment to the value of a liberal arts education, and practice of lifelong learning, enabling students and graduates to meet the challenges of a constantly changing world. Programs offered through Academic Services include tutoring; study skills development; advocacy and support for students with disabilities; international student support; research and writing assistance; learning skills workshops and individual consultations on topics such as time management, test-taking, managing math anxiety, understanding learning styles, note-taking, and more.
Career Services
Academic Services includes Career Services, offering diverse career planning materials designed to support and empower Trinity students and alumnae as they make career choices and life transitions. Workshops, individual consultations, and online resources offered by Career Services allow students to develop skills and advance professionally in areas such as writing effective resumés and cover letters, conducting employment searches, interviewing successfully, and making important career decisions.
The Center for Student Success
The Center for Student Success is a one-stop shop for academic advising, financial advising, and student success needs that operates both in person and via Trinity’s student success platform, Starfish. Each student is assigned a profile in Starfish, which allows all members of a student’s success network (instructors, advisors, Deans, financial aid counselors, etc.) to work seamlessly together to support students to achieve their academic goals. Students can link to Starfish on the My Trinity page of Trinity’s website.
The Center for Student Success provides access to an academic advising, financial advising, and student support team that students can access throughout their Trinity experience. Students are assigned a Student Success Advisor according to their intended or declared major. Students meet with their academic advisor to review their Program of Study and academic policies, select classes and register, explore career options, and learn about resources for addressing challenges and overcoming barriers during their academic journey. Student Success Advisors can also help connect students with Student Affairs, Health and Wellness, Financial Aid, and additional off-campus resources and supports to ensure they are able to successfully persist.
Students intending to pursue degrees in the College of Nursing and Health Professions (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Public Health, Social Work) or the School of Education (Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Community Education, etc.) typically begin their journey in the College of Arts and Sciences or the School of Professional and Graduate Studies where they complete their General Education or Core requirements and any pre-health or pre-education prerequisite courses. This broad background in liberal learning and professional preparation provides a strong foundation for their chosen fields of health care or education. Students intending to pursue one of these majors are assigned to Student Success Advisors trained to guide them through their prerequisites and advise them on entry requirements to the licensure phase of their major.
Disability Support Services
The Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) provides accommodation support to Trinity students with disabilities and assists with campus accessibility matters in accordance with federal policies, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. This includes determining and assigning reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities in academic, housing, dining, and/or other settings and scenarios. DSS also offers training and guidance to faculty and staff on effectively implementing accommodations and supporting students in various institutional settings. Specific accommodation and accessibility requests should be directed to the DSS Director. Trinity’s compliance officer for the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act is the Director of Human Resources. For more information, visit Disability Student Services.

Moodle, Trinity’s Learning Management System (LMS)
Trinity utilizes Moodle as its learning platform throughout the educational experience. Students can find digital resources, submit projects and assignments, take quizzes, and access grades within one platform. Moodle also integrates with more specialized digital tools, allowing instructors to choose the most effective way to engage students with the course material. Through Moodle Support, instructors and students receive individualized assistance with technical issues and troubleshooting for uninterrupted learning. Instructors also utilize Moodle Support for instructional design to ensure courses meet quality standards for online coursework and maintain best practices for digital instruction.
Student Affairs
A key component of the work in Student Affairs is to provide students with information and referrals to campus, crisis, and community resources. Student Affairs is able to offer many resources to students including medical and mental health services; access to the Student Affairs food pantry (short-term) and long-term referrals; spiritual development; one-time emergency financial assistance; short-term transportation assistance; conflict resolution and other behavioral interventions.
Health and Counseling Services
The Health and Wellness Center provides a number of services to Trinity students, including medical and counseling services as well as health education. Health services are provided by nurse practitioners who can diagnose and treat many medical conditions. Referrals can be made to specialists in the community. All full-time and part-time students are eligible to receive care. Additionally, licensed social workers are available to provide individual and group counseling on issues such as managing anxiety, stress and anger, coping with eating disorders, and responding to sexual assault. All students must carry comprehensive medical insurance while enrolled at Trinity. All full-time CAS students are enrolled in the student health insurance plan offered through Trinity, and can submit an annual waiver if they already carry qualified insurance. All other students are eligible to enroll themselves and their dependents in the insurance plan offered through Trinity. For more information, visit The Health and Wellness Center.
