Trinity Basketball just wrapped up their first week of basketball season, lets recap!

The home-opener vs PSU Fayette was a real nail biter on November 11th, the crowd was glued to their seats as the score rang back and forth for most of game.

Leading the fight, J’Kaylah Beasley scored 17 points, Taryn Yancey finished with 9 and Danet Harris finished with 8. The Tigers fought hard until the end but couldn’t get the victory, ultimately resulting in a 44-74 loss.

There were no breaks for the Tigers, the very next day they had a tough game at Valley Forge. The quick turnaround got the best of them but the Tigers used it as an opportunity to prepare for the next game. On Tuesday, The Tigers traveled to Cairn and showed up with great energy and momentum.

Keisha Cooper and Taryn Yancey led the pack this game. Cooper scored 18 points and Yancey finished with a double-double; 14 points and 10 rebounds.  The Lady Tigers ended with a tough loss at 53-60 but their hard work is starting to pay off.

Coach Richmond shared her thoughts on the season thus far “We are right where we need to be as a team! We are playing our hearts out, playing together, building chemistry and having fun. The game is starting to flow for us as a team despite the adversity we overcame early this season. Each game we figure out how to get better, but most importantly figuring out each other and what’s best for the team. The future is bright for the Trinity Tigers!”

The Tigers will be back in action at home this Saturday, November 19, 2022 against Notre Dame of MD at 2:00 PM.
