The Trinity community is preparing to formally welcome the Gold Class of 2027 to senior status during Cap and Gown Convocation on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Student Affairs is proud to invite Undergraduate students in CAS, EDU, NHP, and SPS who have earned senior standing, based on having earned 88 or more credits to date at Trinity, to participate in a presentation of seniors. Cap and Gown Convocation will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, as part of Trinity’s Reunion Weekend! Cap and Gown Convocation recognizes those with Senior standing, regardless of anticipated Graduation date, so if you are a senior, and graduating in December, May, or August, you are welcome to participate.

At Cap and Gown, members of the senior class wear their caps and gowns for the first time and are officially recognized by Trinity as seniors. This important campus tradition dates back to when the very first class to graduate from Trinity, the Red Class of 1904, gathered in fall 1903.

Saturday October 24, 2026

  • Senior Robing in O’Connor Auditorium, Main Hall 1st floor at 9:00am
  • Processional to the Notre Dame Chapel at 9:50am
  • Academic Convocation in Notre Dame Chapel begins at 10:00am
  • Senior Brunch in Alumnae Dining Hall following Convocation from 11:30am – 1:30pm. *Tickets Required

*Seniors will receive 1 ticket at no cost for the Cap and Gown brunch for their use and will be able to purchase up to 2 tickets at $10 each for family members to attend the brunch.

Monday October 5, 2026 through Thursday October 22, 2026

Cap and Gown and Brunch Ticket sales at the Business Office, Main 114.
Cap and Gown / Ticket distribution at Student Affairs, Main Hall 2nd floor.
Mondays: 8am – 5pm; Tuesdays: 12pm to 5pm; Wednesdays: 8am – 5pm; Thursdays: 8am – 5pm and Fridays: 8am – 4pm and Saturday October 17: 10am – 2pm. 

Please note: If you are not planning to participate in Cap and Gown, you should not purchase regalia until your Graduation date is approaching.  For January 2027, regalia will be on sale in November and for May 2027 graduation, regalia will be on sale in April.
