On Juneteenth we remember the bitter fight to overcome racial hatred and oppression, and renew our determination to remake this nation as a beacon of hope for freedom and equality for all. We need to renew our national commitment to great leadership such as that exemplified by President Obama and the presidents who gathered in Chicago to dedicate the Obama Presidential Center on June 18.
