’69 to the Finish Line! June 1, 2019: UPDATE: The Class of 1969 has raised more than $400,000 for their 50th Reunion Gift to support Trinity students as they reach across the finish line to graduation.Watch the 50th Reunion Class’ great video featuring Trinity’s 2018 grads; learn how Trinity Women in the Class of 1969 are inspired by today’s Trinity Women!

The Class of ’69 – this year’s 50th Reunion Class – has been an amazing group since the moment these women set foot on Trinity’s campus in 1965. As they planned for their Reunion, they wanted to do something special for their 50th Reunion Class Gift.  Their theme, ’69 to the Finish Line, was inspired by talking with President McGuire and with current students. They met motivated young women who worked hard to make their college dreams a reality. Many students across the country, and here at Trinity, hit a financial wall when they get to their junior and senior years. As the Class of ’69 notes: “Several things can derail them from the path toward graduation – text book costs are out of reach, a family member can no longer help with childcare, a lingering tuition balance keeps them from registering for classes, rent is raised, a computer must be replaced. They need some temporary help. We would like to provide that help. These young women in the College of Arts and Sciences have the same dreams that we had fifty years ago. What many lack is the support system most of us had. Let’s be that support system for our younger sisters. Let’s join together to build a special ’69 to the Finish Line Fund that will help deserving young women make it to graduation in the years ahead.”

The Class of 1969 went above and beyond: They created this amazing video, featuring faculty and a few of our newest graduates, from the Class of 2018, including Shanta Bryant (in top photo), Brenda Alonso (left, in video image above) and Raissa Audrey Tseumie.
