Cong. Eleanor Holmes Norton to Host “Women of Excellence” at Trinity, Monday, March 14

Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will commemorate Women’s History Month by hosting a “Women of Excellence Symposium” at Trinity Washington University on Monday, March 14, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in Social Hall. All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend this engaging dialogue. Congresswoman Norton is a champion of DC-TAG, Pell grants and other programs that support students seeking a college degree.

The roundtable discussion will feature a panel of esteemed women who have excelled in their respective fields in the District of Columbia:

  • Gina F. Adams, Senior Vice President for Government Affairs at the FedEx Corporation
  • Nakeisha Neal Jones, Executive Director of Public Allies DC
  • Laila Linares, Surge Fleet Life Cycle Manager at the Department of Navy’s Military Sealift Command

“Trinity students themselves are on their way to becoming ‘women of excellence,’” Norton said. “They are a perfect audience for a give-and-take conversation with women who have shown what can be accomplished.”
