Eleven Students Inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda, Honor Society for Adult Learners
Eleven Trinity students enrolled in the School of Professional Studies were inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda, the national honor society for adult students, at a ceremony on April 20, 2009. Dr. Kelley Wood, associate dean of the School of Professional Studies, and Vyan Smith, director of academic advising, presided over the ceremony.
The new members of Alpha Sigma Lambda, and their academic majors, are: Anita Barnes, business administration; Angela Chamblee Charles, nursing; Christy Drake-Mauney, nursing; Todd Fitzhugh, business administration; Jamie Gross, business administration; Dalia Johnson, general studies; Lori Lawrence, computer and information technology; Teresa Riddick, business administration; Jessica Sherman, nursing; Gaitri Tiwari, general studies; and Lizabeth Wesely-Casella, business administration.
All of the new inductees met the eligibility criteria for the Trinity chapter: they must have at least a 3.75 GPA, have junior or senior standing, have at least 24 residency credits at Trinity, and have at least 12 credits of liberal arts courses.
