Spring 2014 Welcome

Spring 2014 Welcome

Dear Trinity Alumnae and Alumni, Families and Friends:

Thanks to the tremendous generosity of so many alumnae and friends, at long last Trinity is able to break ground for the new Trinity Academic Center on Saturday, May 31, 2014! Construction starts this summer, with opening slated for the Fall 2016 semester.

This new building realizes dreams for Trinity’s academic facilities that reach back to the 1960s when President Sister Margaret Claydon, SND, ’45, envisioned robust development of the academic infrastructure. Rising parallel to the south side of Main Hall and echoing Main’s architectural elements, the 80,000-square foot, LEED certified Trinity Academic Center includes eight state-of-the-art science laboratories, four nursing laboratories and 21 new classrooms as well as faculty offices. Every teaching and learning space will enjoy the latest academic technologies. Such splendid modern academic facilities will ensure Trinity’s academic quality and competitiveness for generations to come.

With deep gratitude to all benefactors,

President Patricia McGuire ’74
