Academic Advising in The College of Arts and Sciences

The Center for Student Success provides students with access to a team of Advisors to support them during their time at Trinity. All students are assigned to a Student Success Advisor based on their major. Students will meet with their academic advisor to review their academic plan and register for classes as well as review academic policies, explore career options, and be a resource for students experiencing barriers in their academic journey. Student Success Advisors can also help connect students with resources on and off campus to ensure they are able to successfully persist.

Students intending to pursue degrees in the College of Nursing and Health Professions (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Public Health, Social Work) or the School of Education (Early Childhood Education, Elementary Childhood Education) typically begin their journey in the College of Arts and Science where they complete their General Education requirements giving them a strong foundation for the health care and education field. Students intending to pursue one of these majors are assigned to Student Success Advisors trained to guide students through their prerequisites and advise them on entry requirements to the licensure phase of their major.
