How do I adjust my pop-up blocker settings?

 For Moodle to function properly, you need to make sure that your browser currently allows pop-ups (and JavaScript). To check and adjust your pop-up blockers, follow the instructions for your browser.

Google Chrome

1. Click the Chrome menu icon (three dots) on the browser toolbar.
2. Select “Settings” option.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click “Advanced” to expand the section.
4. In the “Privacy and security” section, click the arrow to the right of the “Content settings” section to expand the area.
5. Scroll down until you see the “Popups” section. Click the arrow to bring up the section.
6. In the “Popups” section, find the “Allow” section and click the “ADD” button.
7. On the “Add a site” screen, type in [*.]trinitydc.edu to allow all Trinity sites to function properly. Click the “ADD” button.
8. Now, close out of all of the windows.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click the Firefox menu on the browser toolbar. n the menu that appears, click on the “Options” icon.
2. In the “Options” window, click on the “Privacy & Security” option in the left column.
3. Scroll down to the “Permissions” section. Look for the “Block pop-up windows” option. Click on the “Exceptions” button.
4. In the “Allowed Websites – Pop-ups” window, add the Moodle URL (https://moodle.trinitydc.edu/) in the box labelled “Address of website to allow:” and click the “Allow” button.
5. Add Trinity’s main site as well (https://www.trinitydc.edu/). Then click the “Save Changes” button.

Internet Explorer

1. Click the IE menu on the browser toolbar. Click on the “Internet options” choice from the menu that appears.
2. In the “Internet Options” window, click on the “Privacy” tab. In the “Pop-up Blocker” section, click on the “Settings” button to add the website exceptions.
3. In the “Pop-up Blocker” Settings” window, add the Moodle URL (http://moodle.trinitydc.edu/) in the box labelled “Address of website to allow:” and click the “Add” button.
4. Add Trinity’s main site as well (https://www.trinitydc.edu/). Once the sites are added, click the “Close” button.
5. Now, close out of all of the windows.

1. Click the Safari menu on the browser tool.
2. Click on the “Block Pop-up Windows” so that there isn’t a checkmark next to it.
