CRM, Manager


Trinity Washington University, seeks an experienced Manager for the University’s newly secured Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) platform (Element451). Reporting to the Vice President for Marketing, Recruitment & Admissions, the Manager will support the development and execution of the new CRM system for Admissions (undergraduate and graduate).  The CRM Manager will work closely with Admissions, the IT team, the VP for Assessment & Student Success and Enrollment Services to launch the CRM in early 2023 (with preparation beginning in late summer 2022) and support the maximum utility of the system for prospective students, applicants, and staff. The CRM Manager will serve as the in-house expert and technical correspondent with the vendor and relevant internal constituents. The CRM Manger will lead projects that support the application of annual updates, documentation for system enhancements and overall oversight of the CRM.


The CRM Manager will exercise independent judgement and must possess excellent attention to detail.  He/She must have general knowledge of user experience requirements for effectiveness and a solid data orientation to create dashboards and reports from the CRM. General technical aptitude and abilities are essential (SQL and HTML) and prior experience in higher education working with a CRM (or launching a CRM) is preferred.

(No more than one day per week can be remote).

Primary responsibilities of the position include:

  • Serve at project manager for the launch (and sustainability) of the new Admissions’ CRM
  • Create, deploy and maintain Admitted Student Portal within CRM
  • Build customized reports and dashboards as needed in the CRM
  • Create business process and workflow for CRM (i.e. edits/enhancements/upgrades)
  • Serve as liaison to vendor (as needed) and internal constituents (such as IT)
  • Test all systems and sources before release to prospective students/applicants
  • Provide Quality Assurance over the CRM content (in collaboration with the VP of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions)
  • Support data integrity by utilizing best practice throughout the CRM system
  • Creating and maintaining written documentation on standard operating procedures pertaining to the CRM

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Information Technology; Education Technology; Computer Science or related-area
  • Three to five years of related experience building (or working closely with) a CRM — preferably in higher education.
  • Experience with writing SQL queries, HTML, and Microsoft Excel desired.
