Career Ambassador Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Career Ambassador position reports to the Director of Career Development and provides operational support to the Office of Career Services.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Create a welcoming environment for students by greeting them upon entry into the career services area.
  • Respond to emails in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Attentively and enthusiastically answer students questions regarding the resources available through the Office of Career Services.
  • Provide administrative support for projects and events, including career fairs, employer information sessions, career development workshops.
  • Develop marketing materials to promote career services events to students, faculty, and staff on campus.
  • Utilize Handshake platform to review employer profiles, job listings, and virtual career fair data.
  • Meet with students one-on-one for student appointments around various topics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Communicate in a professional and courteous manner both written and orally.
  • Be proactive and open to sharing your ideas on how to enhance the student experience with the Office of Career Services.
  • Familiar with Google Drive- Docs, Sheets, Powerpoint.
  • Open to learning new skills.
