Adjunct Faculty – Counseling

Trinity Washington University is seeking highly qualified candidates for adjunct faculty positions in the Master of Arts Counseling Program located within the School of Nursing and Health Professions for in-person teaching starting Spring 2022.

Courses that need instruction include Principles and Theories of Counseling, Research in Counseling, Trauma and Crisis Intervention in Counseling, Diagnosis and Treatment Planning in Counseling, Ethics, Legal, and Professional Issues, and Practicum in Counseling. Successful applicants will have previous teaching experience in higher education, current knowledge and application in the course content area, and course management instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for applicants with the following credentials:

  • An earned doctorate (preferred) or Master’s Degree in Counseling
  • Current license as a school or clinical counselor is preferred
  • At least three years of experience in the Counseling field
  • Online university teaching experience preferred

Official transcripts for all degrees earned and a resume/CV that includes teaching effectiveness must be submitted for the initial review. Preference is given to candidates who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices in the classroom.
