Master of Occupational Therapy Program Academic Fieldwork Coordinator

Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in Washington, DC, seeks an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) for its Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Program in the School of Nursing and Health Professions. Reporting directly to the MOT Program Director, the AFWC will work with multiple clinical and community sites nationwide to coordinate fieldwork placements and develop student learning experiences. The position is full-time with faculty responsibilities and administrative duties. A successful candidate will be an occupational therapist with at least 3 years of experience in the field of OT and have strong community relationships. A strong candidate must demonstrate current knowledge of OT best practice in clinical, community and emerging practice areas, excellent organizational skills, a dedication to life-long learning, and a commitment to student-centered education. Preferred candidates will have at least one year of teaching in an institution of higher learning or equivalent experience.

The Academic Fieldwork Coordinator must meet Trinity’s minimum qualifications for teaching within a distance education program at the University as well as those outlined in the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accreditation standards. The AFWC must hold an OT license in the District of Columbia or be eligible for licensure.
