Master of Occupational Therapy Professor
Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in the nations’ capitol, seeks adjunct and full-time faculty for their Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program within the School of Nursing and Health Professions (NHP). The successful candidate will teach, mentor students, produce scholarly works/activities, and participate in community service at Trinity and the larger Washington, D.C. community.
Preferred Years of Experience, Skills, Training, and Education:
- Experience with distance technology and learning management platforms
- Experience teaching in higher education
- Record of involvement with professional associations
- Evidence of scholarly contributions to the profession (i.e. presentations and/or publications at local, state, or national levels).
- Commitment to diversity, social justice, innovation, and collaboration
Education: Required to have a master’s degree (e.g., OTD, DHSc, DSc, Ph.D., EdD) from a regionally accredited college or university and at least a master’s in the field of Occupational Therapy. A doctoral degree is preferred. Candidates must be eligible for Washington, D.C. licensure as a practicing occupational therapist. Candidates should possess experience in neuroscience, psychosocial/behavioral health, and/or research. Trinity seeks individuals with a minimum of three years of clinical experience and at least one year supervising students.
