Assistant Professor of Public Health- School of Nursing and Health Professions

Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital seeks full-time faculty for programs in the School of Nursing and Health Professions.  Teaching responsibilities will include core courses and elective courses in the undergraduate Health Services program and the graduate Master of Public Health program.  Course topics include, but not limited to, global health, health policy, qualitative and quantitative research, health programming, epidemiology, and program evaluation.  In addition to teaching the position includes responsibility for academic advising graduate and undergraduate students, curriculum development, program evaluation, scholarship, and community service.

We seek candidates with experience in effective classroom management in both the face-to-face and online delivery formats.  Candidates should demonstrate the use of a variety of teaching pedagogies to address diverse learning styles, a willingness to work with a multicultural student population that includes first-generation students, adult learners, and under-represented individuals, and ability to integrate topics across disciplines.  The preferred candidate will be comfortable with creating and engaging with community partners to build relationships for internships and/or practicum placements.

Candidates must have advanced training in public health with higher consideration to those candidates with a Doctorate in Public Health.  Professional experience in health care, public health, health services, or health administration is desired but not required.
