Narcan Training for Students

Did you know that in addition to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, October is also Substance Use & Misuse Prevention Month?

In an effort to highlight and raise awareness around this important issue, I am excited to share that we have partnered with the DC Prevention Center of Wards 5 & 6 to offer a free Narcan training exclusively for Trinity students

This training will cover:

  • Recognizing signs of opioid overdose
  • Overview of opioid use and overdose statistics in DC
  • How to safely administer Narcan (Naloxone)
  • CPR guidance
  • How to obtain Narcan in DC
  • Trinity’s safety policies and procedures related to substance use and overdose response

Free Narcan kits will be distributed at the end of the session.
