Philosophy

In my current career, as an administrator and as a faculty member, I focus on student success by developing opportunities for students to experience success in meeting universal academic standards, discovering their full potential, and applying themselves as scholar-practitioners. Success builds passion and confidence, which lead to sustainable success. I base my practice in the philosophies of Malcolm Knowles (adult learning), Jack Mezirow (transformative learning), and an appreciative focus on the future as exemplified in Appreciative Inquiry (David Cooperider, et al.) and Future Search (Marvin Weisbord & Sandra Janoff) among others.
