Philosophy
As an educator, I believe it is essential to maximize the potential of all students through the use of multiple instructional techniques, technologies, and support systems. I strongly believe in student-centered instruction by using connectivist and constructivist andragogies to help students make connections and build on prior knowledge and experience. Through a strategic mix of assigned readings, lectures, lab activities, and community-based experiences, I believe students can become competent, skilled, and confident professionals prepared to work as generalists in various clinical practice settings. I believe to be a good educator, one must be willing to be a continuous learner. Through the scholarship of teaching and learning, I will continue to grow personally and support faculty in achieving their goals.
