Meeting with DSS
DSS is available for appropriate meetings and appointments related to a variety of topics, questions, and concerns: consultation meetings; accommodation registration intake; accommodation support training/usage; accommodation use in classes; how to prepare for professor letter meeting; discussing a grievance; and more.
Consultation Meetings
Figuring out if you might have a disability and/or qualify for disability accommodations in college can be daunting, and DSS is here to support you and consult with you to answer any questions you may have about disability accommodations and/or DSS processes.
Accommodation Intake Meeting
An accommodation intake meeting is required for any student who wishes to register for accommodations. This meeting typically occurs after you have submitted the initial registration request form and submitted your supportive documentation. Please find more information about the intake meeting here.
Faculty Guidance Meeting
DSS is available to meet with faculty members who would like to understand how to best meet the needs of students with disabilities at Trinity. This could include meeting to discuss how to effectively implement DSS accommodations for students in their classes; meeting to review fundamental requirements of course/curricula; meeting to develop course content that prioritizes principles of universal design; and more. Please contact DSS to schedule a meeting time.
Meeting Modality and Scheduling
DSS offers both in-person and virtual/Zoom meetings, though this is dependent on a variety of factors, including your schedule and DSS availability. You cannot miss class to attend a DSS meeting, so please keep that in mind when sharing your availability for a meeting.
