Jacqueline (Scott) Crowder

Jacqueline Lennette Scott Crowder, age 89, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on May 15, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was educated in the public school system of Maryland and the District of Columbia, achieving outstanding scholastic awards. After high school, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Miner Teachers College in 1965 and went on to earn a Master of Teaching from Trinity College in 1971, and a Bachelor of Science and Nursing from Howard University in 1978, where she was awarded a National Science Foundation grant.

Jackie was a dedicated nurse and teacher. Jackie worked at the National Institutes of Health (“NIH”) as the primary clinical nurse unit coordinator. Later, she became lead teacher for the District of Columbia Public School Nursing Program Post-Secondary Education. Jackie was lauded by her peers and received myriad awards during her career.
