School of Education

The School of Education degree programs are designed for educators in all stages of their careers, taught by highly qualified faculty from the professional and academic community.

All School of Education programs are approved by the DC State Education Agency, Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), and meet requirements for state certification.

Trinity’s initial-license and advanced-level education programs are accredited by Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Graduate Programs

Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.)

Prepare for teacher licensure in DC and most states, with programs in Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education.

Master of Science in Administration, School Leadership (M.S.A.)

Prepare for a school leadership position with this this 5-semester master’s program offering classes that meet one weekend a month.

Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction (M.Ed.)

This 36-credit hour M.Ed. programs prepares transformative education leaders for increased responsibilities in research, instructional design, and program evaluation.

Certificate in Child Development
Earn a certificate in Child Development that will prepare you to work with children from birth until age eight.
Early Childhood Education Foundations
Earn certification in Early Childhood Education Fundamentals while earning credits towards a future Master's Degree.
Elementary Education Foundations
Courses are taught by faculty with extensive experience in a variety of elementary education areas and designed to provide you with the content knowledge and skills needed to enhance education opportunities for students in first to sixth grade settings.
